Palmer adds Barcelona test to FP1 outing

Jolyon Palmer has been confirmed as part of the Lotus F1 team's testing line-up for the group session that follows this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya. The Briton has become a regular fixture in the team's Friday morning plans at recent grands prix, having enjoyed outings in the FP1 sessions in both China and Bahrain, but will now expand his role with a day behind the wheel of the E23 at the first of the year's in-season tests, which follows round five of the championship over 12-13 May. Palmer has impressed in his two free practice runs so far this season, performing strongly alongside Pastor Maldonado in both Shanghai and Sakhir and finishing just 0.441secs...
