Hulkenberg claims sixth on Porsche debut

Sahara Force India Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg claimed sixth position as he made his World Endurance Championship debut with Porsche at Spa Francorchamps. Hulkenberg took part in the six hour race as a preparation for next month's Le Mans 24 Hours and the #19 Porsche was entered as a back-up to the #17 and #18 919 machines. But the squad's hopes of a strong result with the #19 ended when Hulkenberg's team-mate, Nick Tandy, collided with a Porsche 911 from the GT class while he was attempting to lap it just 15 minutes into proceedings.
