Arrivabene: New Raikkonen deal dependent on results
Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene says he has told Kimi Raikkonen a contract extension beyond 2015 remains dependant on his performances this year. With his current two-year deal with the team he won the 2007 world championship with concluding at the end of this season, the Finn hinted earlier this weekend that he is seeking to remain in 2016. However, though Raikkonen – who finished a lowly 11th overall last year – has enjoyed a considerably stronger start to 2015 in the much improved Ferrari, Arrivabene says the 20-time race winner must still prove himself worthy of a Ferrari drive this year. “It's early to talk… you want to know what I said to Kimi?
