Ferrari annexed the top two spots on the timing screens at the end of first free practice of the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend with Kimi Raikkonen ahead of Sebastian Vettel, while pace setting world champions Mercedes kept their powder dry in a session where conditions were vastly different to what can be expected in qualifying and the race.
