Sauber: ‘We will not engage in a media mud-fight'

Both Sauber and Giedo Van Der Garde have released statements following their very public legal disagreements last week.  Both parties were in a Melbourne court regularly throughout the build-up to the Australian Grand Prix, fighting over whether contracted driver Giedo Van Der Garde should be in the cockpit of a C34 in Melbourne. With Giedo winning every hearing, Sauber were forced into an impasse situation due to their contracts with 2015 race drivers Felipe Nasr & Marcus Ericsson. With big sponsors at stake, and court orders looming over them, the team sat out FP1 to ensure that the court's verdict was not breached.
