Magnussen hints at alternative racing plans after McLaren snub

Kevin Magnussen remains certain his F1 future is with McLaren, despite being passed over for another season with the team, but hinted he may drive elsewhere in the meantime. The Dane made a welcome return to F1 duties today after being drafted in by McLaren to drive the Honda-powered MP4-30 on the penultimate day of pre-season testing in place of the sidelined Fernando Alonso. It is Magnussen's first appearance in a car since McLaren opted to re-sign Jenson Button over him for the 2015 F1 season, this despite impressing many in his rookie 2014 F1 season. For the time being, Magnussen remains contracted as McLaren's test and reserve driver, but said he is prepared to race elsewhere in 2015...
