Alonso discharged from Barcelona hospital

Pirelli Media Fernando Alonso has been discharged from a Spanish hospital following his crash during pre-season testing in Spain. Alonso's McLaren left the circuit at Turn 3 early on Sunday afternoon and he struck the wall on the inside of the corner. Alonso was transferred to hospital by helicopter, having initially been taken to the circuit's Medical Centre by ambulance. McLaren confirmed on Monday that it suspected Alonso's crash had been caused by the windy conditions on Sunday and dismissed other speculation.
