Unwell Hamilton to miss first day of F1 test

Lewis Hamilton will miss the first day of Formula 1 testing at the Circuit de Catalunya after falling unwell shortly into the opening session. The reigning champion was one of the first out on track in the Mercedes W06, but completed just 11 laps before pulling into the pit lane again. Mercedes has now confirmed that Hamilton is 'unwell' and will therefore take no further part in the day' activities. As such, Mercedes will place test driver Pascal Wehrlein in the car, the German having spent his morning driving the Force India VJM07 after being placed with the team to run over two days of the test.
