Unwell Hamilton withdraws from first test day

ercedes has confirmed that Lewis Hamilton will sit out the remainder of Thursday's running at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with the reigning World Champion suffering from illness.Hamilton racked up 11 laps – most of them low speed aero runs – during the first 90 minutes of the day's action before Mercedes confirmed that he was "unwell and not able to continue driving today".Mercedes reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein will now substitute for Hamilton for the remainder of the day's action.Wehrlein had been running for Force India and completed a handful of laps in the squad's VJM07, with the young German also due to test for the squad on Saturday.Hamilton is due to return to...
