Three car teams a possibility in 2015 During the announcement of McLaren‘s 2015 driver line-up the team's superemo Ron Dennis revealed that his team has a contract to run three cars should more Formula 1 teams collapse in the wake of the demise of Marussia and Caterham during the last few weeks of the 2014 season. Dennis revealed, 'We now have a contractual obligation to run three cars in the event that the grid falls below 16 cars or less.'
