Caterham racing in Abu Dhabi as ‘showcase' to buyers, says O'Connell
+ Caterham team principal and joint administrator Finbarr O’Connell says his job in Abu Dhabi is to showcase the Leafield-based squad as a viable operation to potential buyers.
Caterham entered into administration last month, with Smith & Williamson appointed to oversee the sale of the failed team.
The administrators set-up a crowdfunding effort to get Caterham, who missed the US and Brazilian Grands Prix, back onto the grid in Abu Dhabi, raising £2,099,016 of a £2,350,000 target at the time of writing.
