Ecclestone: No point trying to reach out to younger generation

Bernie Ecclestone says there is no point trying to chase a younger generation of F1 fans, as they are the wrong target for the sport's sponsors. With television figures falling, Ecclestone feels F1 adopting a greater social media presence – to engage more with young fans – would be a waste of time. 'I'm not interested in tweeting, Facebook and whatever this nonsense is,' Ecclestone admitted in an interview with Campaign Asia-Pacific. 'I tried to find out but in any case I'm too old-fashioned.
