Bianchi taken to hospital after crash

Jules Bianchi has been taken to hospital after crashing in to a recovery vehicle during the Japanese Grand Prix. A mobile crane was recovering Adrian Sutil's Sauber when Bianchi's Marussia slid off in increasing rain and hit the rear of the crane. The medical car and ambulance were soon on the scene and the race was red flagged and didn't restart. An FIA spokesman said Bianchi was unconscious and had been taken to hospital by ambulance, adding no further comment as to his condition. Having said he himself aquaplaned off, Sutil confirmed that Bianchi had appeared to have the same problem: "It was more or less the same crash but the outcome was a bit different," Sutil said.
