Ricciardo holds up his hand after shunt
Daniel Ricciardo has admitted that he was to blame for his accident during Free Practice Two at the Japanese Grand Prix on Friday.
Just a minute after posting the fastest time of the session, the Red Bull driver got out of shape and locked up at Turn 18, the final corner, and went into the gravel before slamming the left front of his car into the barriers.
Although he escaped unhurt, it meant an early end to the session for the Australian.
"I made a mistake," Ricciardo told reports afterwards.
"I did my first quick lap and everyone is cooling after that, producing fast lap, slow lap and then fast again.
