Lotus confident of improved showing in Singapore

Lotus deputy team principal Federico Gastaldi is confident that Lotus will be more competitive at the next race on the 2014 calendar in Singapore. Both Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado struggled at the last round in Italy, with the Renault-powered E22 lacking braking stability and straight-line speed. The Marina Bay Street Circuit – the venue for the Singapore Grand Prix – features more slow corners and very few flat-out sections, which should suit the Enstone-based outfit's car.
