Stewards reprimand Ricciardo after FP1 pit lane incident
Daniel Ricciardo has been handed a reprimand after an incident involving Pastor Maldonado during opening practice ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix. The stewards moved to reprimand Ricciardo after he passed Maldonado’s Lotus in a manner they deemed dangerous in the pit lane.
“The driver of car three [Ricciardo] drove in a manner that was potentially dangerous to others in the pit lane,” read a statement released by the FIA.
The reprimand is the Australian's first of the season.
Ricciardo was sixth fastest in FP1, while Maldonado was just 16th for Lotus.
