Ferrari needs 'to step up a gear immediately'

– Ferrari Team Principal Marco Mattiacci has said the Scuderia must 'step up a gear immediately' in the aftermath of a mediocre showing in the Spanish Grand Prix last weekend. Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen finished sixth and seventh at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya, the former over a minute off the dominant Mercedes' of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, while Räikkönen was lapped. The Maranello team has now said it will 'double the effort' in a bid to make the Ferrari F14 T more competitive: "Today, we are all aware of the situation in which we find ourselves and that we have to step up a gear immediately," said Mattiacci, who has now been acting as Ferrari team...
