Hamilton maintains pace in second session

Mercedes AMG Petronas Lewis Hamilton remained on top of the times after going quickest during the second free practice session ahead of this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix. Hamilton set a time of 1:25.524 on option tyres to eclipse Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg by over four-tenths of a second. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo was the only other driver to get within a second of Hamilton’s time, albeit 0.985s behind the leading Brit. Hamilton was also the quickest runner across the second half of the session once teams switched focus to long run pace.
