Sirotkin completes required mileage for F1 superlicense

Sergey Sirotkin has completed the required mileage for his Formula 1 superlicense after driving for Sauber on the opening day of the Bahrain in-season test. The Russian driver set the eighth fastest time and managed a total of 76 laps. He will combine his F1 commitments with a second season in the Formula Renault 3.5 championship, driving for Fortec Motorsport. The 18-year-old joined Sauber last August and was announced as the Swiss outfit's test driver in December. He drove a Formula 1 car for the first time in a demo run at the Sochi Winter Olympic Park, the venue for this October's inaugural Russian Grand Prix.
