Lotus vows to recover after disastrous session

Lotus F1 Team Lotus trackside operations director Alan Permane insists that their showing during qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix is not representative of the pace of the E22. Romain Grosjean set the 21st fastest time while Pastor Maldonado was unable to set a time due to delays in getting out on track after a power unit issue. "Today was not a reflection of all the hard work going on at Enstone and on track to get ourselves where we want to be," said Permane. "Qualifying at the back of the grid is not why we’re here.
