Whiting admits '2014 cars a little ugly, a little odd'
Race director Charlie Whiting has confirmed what many fans feared, that the 2014 cars won't be aesthetically pleasing thanks to the new technical regulations, particularly surrounding the nose. In an effort to improve safety, the FIA has reduced the height of the tip of the nose to just 185mm, a reduction of 365mm compared to last year. Whiting identified that as an interesting area of development, but admitted some of the solutions were a little "ugly" and "odd".
