Vettel relieved to fend off Webber

Sebastian Vettel spoke of his relief after fending off Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber during Saturday afternoon's battle for pole position at the Circuit of The Americas. The German, who had trailed after the opening sequence of runs in the final shootout, delivered a blistering time of 1:36.338 on his second and final attempt, putting him just over one tenth of a second ahead of Webber and on pole for tomorrow's race. "It's a good result to have both cars at the front," said Vettel during the post-qualifying press conference.
