Raikkonen back surgery a success
Sutton Images Enlarge Lotus has confirmed that Kimi Raikkonen has undergone a successful operation on his back. It was announced ahead of the United States Grand Prix that Raikkonen required back surgery and would miss the final two races of the season, with Lotus eventually hiring Heikki Kovalainen to replace him in Austin and Brazil. The team announced on Friday morning that the operation had gone well and that Raikkonen's recovery would start soon.
