Vettel stays fastest in second practice

Sebastian Vettel maintained his authority over the Formula 1 field during second free practice for the Indian Grand Prix. The German, who delivered a 1:25.722 on Pirelli's Soft tyre compound, led Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber by 0.289 seconds, while Lotus driver Romain Grosjean rounded out the top three. Vettel, who is a fifth place finish away from claiming a fourth world title, was the first driver to sample the Option rubber at the half-hour mark of the session.
