Kovalainen gets Japan practice outing

Getty Images Heikki Kovalainen will drive in first practice for Caterham at the Japanese Grand Prix. The Finn lost his race seat at the team at the end of 2012 but has remained with Caterham as their reserve driver. It will be Kovalainen's fourth appearance in the opening 90 minute practice session in 2013. He drove in practice in Bahrain, Spain and Belgium. Kovalainen will replace Charles Pic for the session, with the Frenchman returning for second practice.
