Caterham confirm Renault engines until 2016
Caterham will continue using Renault power next season when Formula One racing moves to a new 1.6-litre, V6 engine formula, the team confirmed on Sunday as they announced a three-year extension to their current supply agreement with the French manufacturer.From 2014, Caterhams cars will be equipped with the Energy F1, Renaults new cutting edge powerplant designed for the radically revised technical regulations. The Energy F1 unites a V6 turbocharged, direct-injection internal combustion engine with two motor generator units. These harvest energy dissipated in the exhaust gasses and brakes and deploy this as electrical and mechanical power.This announcement is obviously...
