Kimi Raikkonen revealed that money trouble at Lotus was part of the reason why he opted to return to Ferrari. Autosport reported that Raikkonen received his basic salary but the problems that emerged were over 'performance-based bonus payments.' The decision indicates that Lotus could struggle to provide its drivers a car to emerge as a championship contender next year.
