Symonds begins work with Williams team

Acclaimed engineer Pat Symonds has started work with the Williams team and is expected to attend this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. Symonds, who left his Marussia consultancy role last month, joins the Grove-based outfit as its new Chief Technical Officer, effectively replacing Mike Coughlan. Speaking at the time of the announcement, former Renault technical chief Symonds said: "I’m honoured to be asked to play a role in returning the team to its rightful place at the pinnacle of Formula 1.
