Boullier: F1 needs to bring costs down

Lotus Team Principal Eric Boullier has accused the sport’s three richest teams of banding together to block measures to reduce budgets in Formula 1, with the Frenchman stating his belief that cutting costs is essential for the future sustainability of the sport. There have been persistent rumours in recent weeks linking the Enstone-based outfit to a spate of financial problems, including the late payment of salary instalments to lead driver Kimi Räikkönen.
