Russian GP gets October 2014 date

Russia will stage its first F1 grand prix on October 19 next year, organisers have confirmed.The race, which will take place in Sochi after the 2014 Winter Olympics, had been slated to be held in November, although it has now been moved forward a few weeks.“I am very happy to announce that the international F1 promoter has set a preliminary date for the Russian GP on its calendar of season 2014,” Oleg Zabara, deputy chief of the Russian GP's organising committee told reporters on Wednesday.“There are 450 days remaining before the first official Friday practice of the F1 stage in Sochi's Olympic Park.”Zabara also added that work is on schedule to complete the Sochi International...
