Marussia confirms 2014 engine partner

As expected, Marussia will use Ferrari power when the new F1 engine regulations come into force from next season.The Banbury-based minnow finally revealed what the F1 paddock had long expected on the eve of the Young Driver test at Silverstone, and confirmed that it will benefit from a full Ferrari powertrain – comprising engine, energy recovery system, full transmission and all related ancillary systems - with effect from start of the 2014 season.“The importance of this development to our team cannot be overstated,” CEO Andy Webb confirmed, “Not only will we benefit from a customer supply from the most successful engine manufacturer in F1's history, but this also provides further...
