Cameraman taken to hospital after tyre strike

A Formula One Management cameraman was taken to hospital after he was struck by a loose wheel from Mark Webber's car during the Australian's first pit stop. The wheel came loose and rolled down the pit lane, narrowly avoiding several mechanics, before hitting Paul Allen and knocking him down. The FIA confirmed Allen was recovering in a local hospital with concussion and chest pains. "During the German GP, an FOM cameraman in pit lane was struck by a loose wheel. Paul Allen was hit on the left hand side. Remaining conscious, he was treated at the circuit medical centre and then transported by helicopter to Koblenz Hospital," it read.
