FIA to open up Young Driver Test

The FIA announced on Monday that it will change the regulations for this month's Young Driver Test at Silverstone, with the participating teams allowed to use their race drivers in order to help resolve the problems with the Pirelli tyres. After a dramatic British GP over the weekend, during which four drivers suffered blow-outs on their left rear tyres, the FIA contacted the World Motor Sport Council in order to authorise revisions in its Sporting Regulations, which currently prohibit drivers from in-season testing.
