Tost wants to test new tyres on Fridays

Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost says the field should be using the opening practice session of Grand Prix weekends to test new tyres, with chiefs still debating the way in which sole supplier Pirelli is planning to implement its upcoming changes. With the first half hour of FP1 playing host to little action so far this season, as drivers save their single harder compound allocation, Tost reckons two issues could be fixed at once by keeping the track busy and allowing Pirelli to gather data for future tyres.
