Massa puts Ferrari on top in final practice

Felipe Massa went quickest in the third and final practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix on Saturday giving Ferrari hope for the rest of the weekend and something to cheer for the Italian team’s chairman Luca di Montezemolo, who made an appearance at the track. The Brazilian set a time of 1 minute 21.901 seconds around the 4.6km Catalunya circuit, but was just 0.006 seconds quicker than Lotus’ Kimi Raikkonen. Qualifying is the most crucial session at Catalunya, where 18 of the last 22 races held have been won from pole position.
