FIA denies it's asked teams to change splitters
The FIA has denied it has requested Red Bull, Mercedes and Lotus change their splitters prior to the Chinese Grand Prix to avoid sanctions. Italian media reports that the governing body has written to the three aformentioned teams asking them to adapt their front-splitters, because they're flexing beyond the allowed limit. The report also claims that should they fail to do so, they will be thrown out of the final classifications as their cars don't meet the technical requirements. According to an FIA spokesperson, the claims are completely "untrue" and no team has been asked to change its car prior to April's race.
