Bernie eyeing 22 races and Cape Town

Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone believes a 22-race calendar is within the realms of possibility and is also eager to have stopover in Cape Town. The 2013 season was initially set to have 20 races, but New Jersey was forced to postpone their debut until 2014. Although Austria, France and Portugal were all interested in taking the vacant spot, nothing came of the talks. Ecclestone, though, is eager to have a bumper campaign next year and Sochi in Russia are expected to make its bow while Mexico and Thailand are also in negotiations with the sport's commercial rights holder.
