Ecclestone aware charges could end reign

Bernie Ecclestone admits he is likely to be replaced as Formula One chief executive if he is charged over the Gerhard Gribkowsky bribery case. Former BayernLB banker Gribkowsky was jailed for eight and a half years in June after being convicted of breach of trust, tax evasion and bribery for the £28 million received from Ecclestone during the sale of Formula One in 2005. In the closing remarks Ecclestone was described as "the accomplice", and while he has yet to face any charges he is still being investigated.
