Barcelona GP: Russell edges Hamilton in Q3 as Leclerc crashes

George Russell delivered a timely response in the 2026 Formula 1 title fight by securing a commanding pole position for the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, finally bringing Kimi Antonelli’s recent qualifying dominance to an end. After showing strong pace throughout the weekend, Russell converted his form into his first pole since the season-opening race in Melbourne, producing a stunning lap of 1m14.679s to edge out Lewis Hamilton by 0.064s.
