Aston Martin battery crisis threatens Australian GP weekend

Aston Martin’s 2026 F1 campaign is already teetering on the brink of catastrophe after a crippling battery crisis left the team clinging to just two functioning units at the Australian GP – a situation technical chief Adrian Newey openly described as “a scary place to be”. What was already shaping up to be a difficult start to the season for the Silverstone-based outfit has spiralled into a full-blown reliability nightmare in Melbourne, where extreme vibrations and persistent power-unit faults have severely limited running for both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll....
