Shovlin admits Mercedes pursued 'damage limitation' at Spa
F1 Grand Prix, GP Belgium, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps Hot on the heels of a disappointing weekend for the Brackley-based outfit, Mercedes trackside engineering director Andrew Shovlin has admitted that it was all about 'damage limitation' for the German-British squad at the Spa-Francorchamps race. Mercedes endured a tough weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix. George Russell endured an early exit in sprint qualifying, and was unable to make any real progress, ending the 100km dash pointless.
