05/07/2025 at 16:2805/07/2025 at 16:39 Max Verstappen pulled off a late-session stunner to claim pole position for the 2025 British Grand Prix, stealing the spotlight from McLaren and home hero Lewis Hamilton with a blistering lap that left Silverstone in shock. Despite not featuring prominently in practice, the reigning world champion came alive when it mattered most. On his final flying lap, Verstappen produced a mighty 1m24.892s, pipping championship leader Oscar Piastri by the slimmest of margins and spoiling McLaren’s party.
