Alonso hails Aston Martin for its strategic decision

F1 Grand Prix, GP Austria, Red Bull Ring Having finished the Austrian Grand Prix in an impressive seventh place, two-time F1 champion Fernando Alonso has praised Aston Martin for having pursued an ambitious one-stop strategy at the Red Bull Ring. Fernando Alonso did not look particularly strong at the start of the Austrian Grand Prix weekend. However, he managed to raise his performance for qualifying to secure P11 on the grid. The two-time world champion started on the mediums and extended his opening stint. He then swapped to the hards, and spent the majority of the race behind the Racing Bulls of Liam Lawson.
