The Schumacher family’s fight for hope and privacy

29/12/2024 at 12:0429/12/2024 at 11:30 On December 29, 2013, the world of Formula 1 and beyond was plunged into shock and sorrow as news broke of a horrific skiing accident involving seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher. While enjoying a family ski trip at Meribel in the French Alps, Schumacher collided with a hidden rock, suffering severe head injuries that would forever alter his life. The impact of the accident was immense. Schumacher's helmet was split in two, and he was airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
