F1: Future of Mexican GP not linked to Perez

The organiser of the Mexico City Grand Prix is confident that the event will continue even if Sergio Perez is no longer on the grid. In much the same way that it was the popularity of Max Verstappen that saw F1 return to Zandvoort, Sergio Perez was largely responsible for the re-emergence of the sport in Mexico. While Perez has a contract with Red Bull for 2025, it is extremely doubtful that he will be retained and it just so happens that the contract with the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez also runs out next year.
