Verstappen's engineer turned down F1 rivals' offers

Sep.9 Max Verstappen's well-known race engineer has reportedly turned down offers from both Ferrari and McLaren. Corriere dello Sport claims Gianpiero Lambiase, otherwise known as ‘GP', was approached with the enticing offer to become Lewis Hamilton's race engineer at the Maranello based team from 2025. He apparently turned down that offer, with other reports suggesting he also said ‘no' to McLaren. Referring to Ferrari's rejected offer, Corriere dello Sport reported: 'Several names have said no and declined the honour, including Lambiase, for whose arrival Vasseur strongly advocated for.'
