F1 Sprint Shootout start delayed by rain

Article To news overview © XPBimages The start of F1's Sprint Shootout session at the Belgian Grand Prix has been delayed. Spa-Francorchamps started the day in dry conditions as the F3 drivers ran their race on slick tyres. But rain began to fall in the final two laps of the race, which ended around 80 minutes before SQ, and has hit the circuit ever since. The continued rainfall and subsequent track conditions have given race control no option other than to delay the start of the Shootout. The session, a shortened version of traditional qualifying, will be used to determine the starting grid for Saturday afternoon's 15-lap Sprint.
