Formula 1 confirms: Tyre blankets will stay in 2024
Formula 1 has held a meeting regarding possible changes to the sport. For example, the Formula 1 committee in Belgium has decided that tyre blankts will be used in 2024 and the equivalence of engines is being investigated, the FIA announced through a press release. Article continues under ad The FIA informs that the Pirell tyre tests showed that the set targets and requirements would be met with the new tyres, which would not need tyre blankets. Despite this, Formula 1 has decided to postpone the abolition of tyre blankets for at least one year.
