Mercedes balks: 'We already knew that soft/medium one-stop could work'

Mercedes had one of its strongest GP weekends in Mexico, but a chance to beat the ironclad Max Verstappen was not in the cards. In retrospect, Mercedes engineer Andrew Shovlin sees that with a different strategy there would have offered more of a chance. On Sunday, the team decided to start on the yellow medium tyres to "be sure" of an easy one-stop.
