Ferrari and Mercedes question Red Bull F1 cost cap fine

Formula 1 champions Red Bull are exaggerating the impact on next year's car of reduced wind tunnel testing as punishment for their cost cap breach says Mercedes' Andrew Shovlin, while Ferrari's Laurent Mekies feels the $7-million fine is too low. Red Bull have agreed to pay a fine of $7 million for spending more than allowed last season and will also have 10% less time to test in the wind tunnel over the next 12 months. Team boss Christian Horner told reporters on day one of the Mexico City Grand Prix that the wind tunnel reduction was ‘draconian'.
